ATMs in Nha Trang: Fees and Limits for Foreign Cards
With a foreign Visa or Mastercard, Techcombank's flat VND 66,000 per withdrawal is cheapest, but only at its branch ATMs. BIDV charges 3%; VietinBank and Agribank charge 4%. BIDV caps one withdrawal at VND 5,000,000, so large cash means a second fee.

Which ATM to use
The fees below are what the ATM’s bank charges, before anything your own bank adds.
- Small amount, one withdrawal: Techcombank’s flat fee of VND 66,000 beats a percentage, at its branch ATMs only.
- Larger cash, several withdrawals: each BIDV withdrawal is capped at VND 5,000,000, so budget for repeat fees.
- Unsure of the cap: BIDV and Agribank publish one; VietinBank and Techcombank do not.
Fees by bank for a foreign card

A Visa or Mastercard issued outside Vietnam pays these fees at the ATM owner’s schedule.
| Bank | Fee | Cap per withdrawal | VAT |
|---|---|---|---|
| BIDV | 3%, minimum VND 50,000 | VND 5,000,000 | Excluded |
| VietinBank | 4%, minimum VND 80,000 | Not published | Excluded |
| Agribank | 4%, minimum VND 70,000 | Five million dong | Excluded |
| Techcombank | VND 66,000 flat | Not published | Included, branch ATMs only |
VietinBank collects its fee automatically from Visa, Mastercard and DCI cards issued abroad. Techcombank’s fee does not apply to Vietnam-issued Visa or Mastercard, or to JCB.
What one withdrawal costs
At BIDV’s cap of VND 5,000,000, here is the ATM owner’s fee on one withdrawal:
| Bank | Fee on VND 5,000,000 | VAT |
|---|---|---|
| BIDV | VND 150,000 | Excluded |
| VietinBank | VND 200,000 | Excluded |
| Agribank | VND 200,000 | Excluded |
| Techcombank | VND 66,000 | Included |
What your own card adds
The ATM fee is only half of the cost: BIDV’s schedule leaves out whatever the issuing bank charges.
Hana Card’s TravelLog check card, issued in Korea, waives both: its US$3 per withdrawal fee and the 1% international brand fee. It does not cover the ATM owner’s charge, and a local ATM surcharge may still apply.
A TravelLog withdrawal with Hana, at BIDV’s cap, costs the ATM owner’s VND 150,000 and nothing from Hana. Hana’s limit is US$1,000 per withdrawal, so the Vietnamese bank’s cap decides how much you get.
Check your own issuer’s page before you travel, because every card sets its own overseas fees.
Decline currency conversion
If the ATM or a card terminal offers to bill you in your home currency, decline and choose VND. Dynamic currency conversion can add 3-5% on top of the exchange. Hana’s TravelLog card blocks it by default.
Changing cash
Banks publish buy and sell rates. The gap between them is what changing cash costs.
| Currency | Bank buys | Bank sells |
|---|---|---|
| Korean won | VND 16.81 per won | VND 20.27 per won |
| US dollar | VND 25,670 per dollar | VND 26,080 per dollar |
These are Vietcombank’s rates on 18 October 2026 and change through the day. Won cash gets a poor buy rate next to the dollar: the won gap is far wider.
If you bring cash, declare it at the border when it is above US$5,000 or VND 15,000,000. For the airport, see Cam Ranh Airport to Nha Trang; for fees on a Vietnamese bank card, see open a bank account in Nha Trang.
Not confirmed: VietinBank and Techcombank publish no per-withdrawal cap for foreign cards, so expect a second withdrawal to be needed. Vietcombank, MB, ACB and Sacombank publish no fee for foreign-issued cards in the tariffs checked, so ask your card issuer what they charged.
