Nha Trang Seafood: Luong Son Cang, Mai Huong, Mong Uoc
For the best value, go to Luong Son Cang: reviewers call it cheap and fresh, and it is open 10 AM to 1 AM. For clean fish tanks, pick Mai Huong. For a free ride from your hotel, pick Mong Uoc in Cam Lam. At any of them, ask the price before you order.
On this page
Nha Trang is built for seafood, and the bill goes wrong when you order from a tank without asking the price. These three restaurants have steady recent reviews, and the habit that protects you at all of them is to ask the price per kilogram first.
Quick picks
- Best value: Luong Son Cang, cheap and fresh according to recent reviewers.
- Cleanest tanks: Mai Huong.
- Free hotel ride, outside the city: Mong Uoc in Cam Lam.
- At all three: ask the price before you order.

Luong Son Cang - cheap, fresh and open late

Luong Son Cang is the pick when you want a good seafood dinner without a large bill. It sits at 160 Hung Vuong Street and opens from 10 AM to 1 AM every day, so you can eat late. It is cheap, and the seafood is fresh.
The restaurant keeps live tanks with king crab, lobster, mud crab and oysters, and you can pick your lobster or fish from the tank yourself, which means no surprise at the till. The menu is also in Korean. The website advertises a free pick-up service.

Ask for the kilogram price before you order, and bring cash, because cards may not be accepted.
Good for: a value dinner for two to four, and a late meal after the night market. Skip if: you need to pay by card. Open in Google Maps (opens in a new tab)
Mai Huong - clean tanks in the centre

Mai Huong is at 22 Tran Quang Khai Street and opens from 11 AM to 11 PM. The seafood is fresh, and the fish tanks are clean. That matters: you point at your own fish, so a clean tank is a good sign.

The weak spot is the menu. The lobster price is not on the menu, so ask what it will cost before the kitchen starts. The choice of fresh seafood is limited. Ask the kilogram price of anything live, and have the waiter write it down.
Good for: clean tanks, a central location and a lobster dinner when you set the price first. Skip if: you want a long list of live seafood. Open in Google Maps (opens in a new tab)
Mong Uoc - the one with a free hotel ride

Mong Uoc is in Cam Lam, plus code 25XV+CC, and opens from 9:30 AM to 10 PM. It is outside the city, so the ride is the reason people go: it runs a hotel pick-up and drop-off, and the seafood is fresh.

Prices run high for some diners, and staff ask diners for a Google review after the meal. Treat the high star rating with that in mind and ask the price before you order.
Good for: a group staying near Cam Ranh or Bai Dai who want a transfer included, and a long seafood meal. Skip if: you want to stay in the city centre. More on the area is in the Bai Dai guide. Open in Google Maps (opens in a new tab)
How not to overpay
Seafood prices vary between places, and confirming the price in advance helps avoid misunderstandings. In May 2025 a floating seafood restaurant on Tri Nguyen Island billed two customers VND 2.78 million, with boxfish at VND 3.5 million per kilogram. One of its violations was failing to post prices as required.
Ask three things before you sit: the price per kilogram of each live item, whether the price is for raw weight, and whether the bill will list each dish. If the answer is vague, order from the menu.
