Oceanography Museum - the cheap indoor stop

The museum opens 6:00 to 18:00 every day, so you can go early before the heat. Entry is VND 40,000 per person, VND 20,000 for students, VND 10,000 for pupils and free for children under 6. It is the best cheap indoor stop when the weather turns, covered in the Oceanography Museum guide.
Hon Chong - a small fee and a free beach

The provincial resolution sets the Hon Chong visit fee at VND 30,000 per person per visit. The promontory is open daily 7:00am to 7:00pm, and the beach area is free to enter. A free canoe also runs from the shore to the small rocky island of Hon Do, with its 1960 pagoda. If you hire a sun lounger with umbrella and towel, expect VND 50,000, and motorbike parking is VND 5,000. More in the Hon Chong guide.
Po Nagar Cham Towers - history for one small fee

Po Nagar charges the same VND 30,000 per person per visit and opens 06:00 to 17:30. Go first thing, when the brick towers are quiet and cool. Read the Po Nagar guide for the history and what to see.
Night market - free to enter

The night market has no entrance fee. Paid parking just outside the pedestrian zone costs around VND 5,000 to 10,000, so a bus or walk is cheaper. Prices on the stalls are your call, so ask before you buy. See the night market guide.
Getting around for less
The reference fare is VND 7,000 per trip on the six inner-city routes, as of 11/08/2025. That makes the bus the cheapest way between the sights. For taxis, bikes and motorbikes, read getting around Nha Trang, and for a wet-day version of this list, see things to do on a rainy day.
